Job Description

General Summary

Under limited oversight, responsible for strategic planning, designing, and implementation of core technologies. Provides integrated team oversight over projects. Leads a team utilizing project management skills to include planning, scheduling & testing leading to successful go-lives. Advanced technical skills and knowledge in vertical.

Principal Responsibilities And Tasks

The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification. These are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all job duties performed by personnel so classified.

  • Serves as the point of contact for Tier I, II, III Service Desk support tickets.
  • Coordinates and manages day-to-day operations for all hardware, operating systems, virtualization, storage, backups, patching, as well as monitoring the health of core applications.
  • Provides designing, planning, configuration, documentation, deployment and top-level support ownership of verticals.
  • Works closely with Healthcare IT leaders to understand their requirements for design and proactively identifies improvement opportunities and makes recommendations.
  • Leads incidents and participates in problem management activities.
  • Acts as liaison with manufacturers and vendors of software and application products, especially with regard to problem diagnosis and resolution.
  • Exhibits accuracy, attention to detail, ability to work effectively and diplomatically in a team environment, and ability to work in an atmosphere of multiple projects and shifting priorities.
  • Solid understanding of technical strategies to maintain the integrity and availability of a large datacenter serving an enterprise Hospital System.
  • Solid understanding of how the full life cycle of application and technology implementation including:
  • Technical Integration with corresponding technologies
  • Data integrity
  • Security Controls
  • Application availability
  • Responsible for vendor escalation and work with engineers to resolve technical issues related to Webex working with other team members, vendor support and contractor to achieve optimal reliability and security.
  • Highly proficient in building complex architectural diagrams and proposals


Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree with minimum of 8 years of IT experience or the equivalent of education, experience and IT certification/s.
  • Experience with systems administration design in an enterprise environment to include data center migrations, up-time, disaster recovery, and capacity security planning highly preferred.

  • Strongly understands and adheres to systems security and control procedures in accordance with departmental, vendor standards and regulatory bodies.
  • Strongly demonstrates background in complex and distributed environments.
  • Experience providing support maintenance and security for and Microsoft Operating Systems.
  • Prepares written documentation of various types including Webex application documentation, training manuals, quick tip sheets, Webex internal help website.
  • Excellent understanding of networking (Cisco, SAN Fabric, F5 etc.)
  • Highly proficient with installation, configuration and management of targeted vertical(s).
  • Advanced knowledge of ITSM frameworks.
  • Will support multiple programs and systems requiring strong multitasking abilities.
