Primary Responsibilities
- Assist in transporting patients and materials throughout the hospital.
- Provide support with food cart delivery and tray pickup in Nutrition Services.
- Perform cleaning and sanitizing duties in accordance with Environmental Services procedures.
- Observe safety protocols, including use of PPE and proper chemical handling.
- Communicate clearly and courteously with patients, families, and staff.
- Adhere to hospital and departmental policies on patient confidentiality and infection control.
- Perform routine equipment cleaning and identify/report malfunctions.
- Provide meal delivery support while maintaining sanitary food handling standards.
- Maintain workspaces in clean and organized condition.
- Assist in Radiology Transport including moving patients and helping technologists.
- Attend trainings and departmental meetings as assigned.
- Use hospital systems such as EPIC to log transports or tasks.
- Respond promptly and professionally to assignments.
- Follow procedures for safe lifting, pushing, and transferring.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience - Required
- High school senior or second-semester junior. Must be able to read and write and follow specific instructions. CPR certification may be required for certain assignments and will be provided during onboarding.
