What are the responsibilities and job description for the Central Sterile Supply Tech Certified- Saturdays position at University of Maryland Medical System?
JOB SUMMARY: Prepares, distributes and controls sterile and non-sterile supplies, equipment, and instrumentation. Assists the patient care team to provide and maintain customer service focus essential for smooth operations.
Work Experience
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Education & Training:
High school diploma, with certification as Certified Registered Central Services Technician (CRCST).
Work Orientation & Experience:
Previous experience in a Central Sterile Supply Technician position preferred.
Skills & Abilities:
Must be self-directed and capable to carry out assignments with limited supervision, and will accept responsibility to assist in on-the-job training of new team members.
Ability to:
a) effectively convey verbal and written information
b) follow directions
c) respond to emergency situations appropriately
d) adapt hours of availability to variable and changing needs of the hospital, including all shifts
e) effectively function as a member of a collaborative team
f) organize and manage time effectively, setting appropriate priorities
g) comply with The Joint Commission and OSHA standards; (h) be self-directed and capable to carry out assignments with limited supervision and, (i) assist in on-the-job training of new team members.
Benefits

Pay Range: $24.00/hr. Flat Rate
