Job Requirements
Performs a variety of administrative duties for Laboratory Services. These duties include scheduling meetings and recording minutes, supporting staff in preparation of meeting materials, client communication, ordering supplies, greeting visitors, 1Responds to internal and external telephone calls, inquiries and visitors following established departmental procedures. Determines urgency of situation when contacting/interrupting senior laboratory staff. Retrieves necessary provider information (verified address, phone number, NPI number, etc.) and communicates to EPIC team. Types, composes, proofreads and edits correspondence, reports, minutes, forms, etc., distributes/sends, as required; collates and assembles reports and documents. Established and maintains files; retrieves information, as required. Processes paperwork related to department’s activities and updates various reports. Maintains knowledge of laboratory and hospital information systems and updates as it relates to their area. Maintains inventory of non-stock and in-house supplies and places orders. Maintains the privacy and security of all confidential and protected health information. Uses and discloses only that information which is necessary to perform the function of the job.
Work Experience
As Associates Degree is strongly preferred. Two years of relevant experience required. Candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
