What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laboratory Courier - Foot Courier position at University of Maryland Medical Associates, LLC?
Performs delivery functions for specimens and related medical correspondence. This position will include walking extensive distances with exposure to elements and potential exposure to infectious disease from transporting specimens.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Picks up and delivers specimens within specified departmental schedule.
- Manages multiple pick up and deliver requests and utilizes time efficiently.
- Picks up and delivers mail within specified departmental schedule.
- Collates and delivers reports within specified departmental schedules.
- Delivers supplies as requested.
- Takes initiative during down-time to assist departmental needs.
- Completes mandatory employee health, workers compensation, HR processes and other training and requirements in required time frame to insure compliance with all FPI rules and regulations
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
- This position will include walking extensive distances with exposure to elements and potential exposure to infectious disease from transporting specimens
Total Rewards
The referenced base salary range represents the low and high end of University of Maryland’s Faculty Physician’s Inc. salary range for this position. Some candidates will not be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, market conditions, internal equity, responsibility factor and span of control, education/training and other qualifications.
