Facilities Management at the University of Maryland College Park seeks an experienced Plumber to perform plumbing work at the journey level. The Plumber will support the plumbing needs of the campus, to include maintenance of the University’s total underground and inside building distribution systems.Responsibilities:Assemble and install plumbing systemsTroubleshoot and repair pipe and pipeline systemsReview blueprints and building codes to determine optimal work proceduresMaintain and repair septic and commercial sewer systemsAdhere to safety policies and proceduresQualifications:Four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in the plumbing trade.Possession of a certification as a licensed plumber from the State of Maryland or from another state that qualifies for reciprocity in Maryland. Must possess and maintain a valid Class "C" driver's license with fewer than 6 points.Salary/benefits: The salary is commensurate with experience and falls within the range of $51,069 to $61,283. Position is Essential and subject to 24-hr day, 7 day-week span of operation. Work hours are Mon-Fri, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM.
