Assistant/Associate Professor of English
The University of Mary in Bismarck, ND invites applications for a faculty position in English to begin in fall 2026. Salary is commensurate with qualifications, experience, and rank. A Master’s degree (or equivalent course work) is required at time of employment, but a Ph.D. (or relevant coursework) is desired. Candidates must be able to show an ability to teach a wide range of English courses, including introductory composition. Specialization in rhetoric and composition is preferred. Candidates should also be conversant with the larger Christian intellectual tradition. Applicants should also excel in teaching at the undergraduate level and be able to teach broadly among the various areas of English while having an active research agenda.
All faculty are expected to demonstrate a willingness to support and advance the Christian, Catholic, and Benedictine mission and identity of the University of Mary (see https://www.umary.edu/about/mission-identity ).
