Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Director of the Arts Academy, the Art teacher provides instruction in various mediums, through private and group Art classes. Specific Art classes will be assigned to each teacher based on the expertise and experience of the teacher. The Arts Academy Art teacher will offer professional guidance and instruction to students of all ages and levels, and will teach with knowledge and expertise.
Work schedule will depend on the number of students and classes assigned to each teacher, with primary teaching hours to be after school (2:00PM - 8:00PM) Monday through Friday. Some weekend special events/performances will be required.

Minimum Requirements
- Must be an active and committed Christian who will support the University’s mission and who will be an active participant in their local church.
- Experience required in teaching Art classes in various mediums.
- Must demonstrate proficiency in the Art medium being taught.
- Experience in exhibiting Artwork, and providing labels and explanations of works being displayed.
- Must be reliable and dependable in keeping lesson times and in communicating with students and parents when cancellations or changes in schedules must be made.
- Ability to relate personally to students and parents in a cordial and professional manner.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work and work independently as needed.
- Excellent time management skills necessary.
- Must agree to the University’s Employee Statement of Understanding.
