The University of Management and Technology (UMT, https://www.umtweb.edu) is an accredited online university that offers degrees at the associate's, bachelor's, master's, and doctoral levels. One full-time position is open immediately at our Arlington, VA office, which is conveniently located one block from the Rosslyn Metro station. Qualified candidate will receive on-the-job training. This position requires in-office work during business hours, Monday - Friday.
Starting annual salary: $32,000
Upon successfully passing the initial probation period, the employee will be eligible for a hybrid work schedule, along with benefits such as health insurance, 401(k), and free tuition to pursue a UMT degree program.
Responsibilities:
- Scanning, sorting, maintaining, and filing student admission documents
- Type student records
- Support and provide administrative assistance to the admissions office and financial aid office.
- Interaction with students via phone and email
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Touch typing 50 wpm
- Detail oriented and organized
- Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills;
- Must possess strong organizational and time management skills;
- Must have computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office software (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook);
- Must exhibit strong skills in building student-focused customer relationships;
- Must be driven to provide excellent customer service with the ability to handle inquiries of a diverse and multicultural community of students and staff with sensitivity and diplomacy;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment doing multiple tasks and projects while attending to the immediate needs of related staff to support the institution’s goal and missions;
- Must be a detail-oriented self-starter, able to work independently with little to no supervision and as a team member in a collaborative manner;
- Must have the ability to exercise good judgment, as well as the ability to understand and follow established operation processes and procedures;
- Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
