Assistant or Associate Professor of Computer Information Systems, Program Coordinator

Candidates are expected to fulfill the role of Program Coordinator and must be able to contribute to the undergraduate Computer Information Systems program and should have broad competence in Information Systems with the ability to teach a variety of courses including business analytics, programming, management information systems, application development, project management, database development, telecommunications, and/or information security.  The area of specialization is open, but the leading needs are in data analytics and application development.  Opportunities also exist to teach graduate and summer classes.

• Teach undergraduate courses during the fall and spring semesters
• Coordinate the activities of the program, including course scheduling, recruiting, industry outreach, academic support programs, and placement of students upon graduation.
• Pursue a program of scholarly research and publication
• Advise students and maintain records of student progress
• Actively participate in recruitment and retention for the program
• Engage with IT related industry groups and companies
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Candidates must have a doctoral degree in computer information systems or related field from an AACSB accredited institution. Rank will be determined based upon educational background, scholarly productivity, and academic experience.

(3) An established or planned research agenda; 

(4) Good interpersonal skills; 

(5) Effective written and oral communication skills, 

(6) The ability to work with and supervise a highly diverse student population, and 

(7) The ability to function collegially as a member of the faculty. 

Salary : $98,000 - $109,000
