This Maintenance Repairer 2 performs general repairs to ensure campus facilities are in working order and operational.
Minimum Qualifications
Two years of experience or training in the building construction trades, building maintenance, maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment, or park operations and grounds maintenance; OR
Completion of a two-year vocational technical program in general building construction, construction technology, or engineering; OR
Twelve semester hours in construction management, construction technology, or engineering, or any combination of these courses.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
- Make general repairs to the interior and exterior of campus buildings. Unstop drain pans and drain lines on fan coil units. Repair or replace thermostats.
- Perform routine maintenance and general repairs on a variety of motorized equipment. Tasks may include tune-ups, replacing or adjusting worn or damaged parts (such as generators, alternators, starters, pumps, belts, and pads), and limited disassembly of major components to assess needed repairs.
- Clean and maintain equipment such as chiller coils to keep systems operating efficiently.
- Make basic repairs to appliances, including part replacement and adjustments.
- Safely start, operate, and inspect equipment to ensure proper function and identify maintenance needs.
