| Physical Requirements | This position requires intermittently sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time; and performing tasks with repetitive motions (such as typing); and occasionally standing or walking with objects weighing up to 25 pounds; and lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Also involves some exposure to injury from hazardous chemicals and fumes including waste, cuts/punctures, and blood-borne or airborne pathogens. |

| Job Summary | Provide leadership in the development and implementation of performance and quality improvement activities related to medication use safety for Retail Pharmacy Services and the UK Healthcare Enterprise; work with UK Healthcare leaders to address any discovered deficiencies. Identify potential patient safety improvements. Lead working groups to achieve continued quality improvement; conduct medication safety rounds and participate in accreditation tracers and other activities for UK Healthcare Enterprise to ensure compliance with state, federal, professional and accreditation standards; coordinate the review, investigate and code medication-related incident events reported via the Safety Intelligence System (SI); and provide education and promotion of safe medication practices. |
