Job Description Summary

The School of Nursing at the University of Kansas Medical Center seeks a full-time faculty to support clinical education in the prelicensure nursing programs. This is a clinical track position; rank and salary are commensurate with experience. The applied practice faculty (APF) member will facilitate student learning and competency development through clinical hands- laboratory instruction (hands-on skill development, simulation) and hospital-based clinical teaching. This position will provide continuity of instruction for groups of students across both learning environments, ensuring integration and consistency between simulation, clinical learning, and formal competency assessment. The APF will advance student success by promoting safe, evidence-based nursing practice while fostering clinical judgment, professional behaviors, and confidence in practice.

The APF will also participate in service-related activities that support the school, and engage in clinical practice through the School of Nursing faculty practice plan.
