The Clinical Scholar Track is for full-time faculty members who are heavily involved in clinical service, education, and related scholarship. This track has two career paths: Clinician-Educator concentrating on teaching and Clinician-Investigator for concentrating on research/scholarship. Significant contributions in professional and academic service are required for both paths.

Education: M.D., Accredited three-year Fellowship in Cardiology, ABIM Boards in Cardiovascular Disease, and ABIM Boards in Internal Medicine
This position requires a formal degree in the cited discipline area(s) to ensure that candidates have the foundational knowledge and skill set required to perform the duties of the position. The level of degree is based on accreditation requirements, institutional standards of academic and professional excellence, alignment with peer institution benchmarks, and contributes to the credibility and effectiveness of the role within the university community.

- Manage the patient with ACHD and have appropriate advanced imaging skills for diagnosis and treatment.

- Manage the ACHD population in the acute and ambulatory settings.
- Provide in-patient rounding services to the Cardiovascular Department.
- Provide imaging and advanced imaging services to diagnose and treat the ACHD and general cardiology population.
- Provide night and weekend call services similar to other Non-Invasive Cardiologists.
