Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Director of Mining role based at the University of Johannesburg, located in University, MS. The Director of Mining will oversee the university's mining-related programs, manage departmental operations, and drive strategic initiatives in the field of mining. Primary responsibilities include developing and implementing academic curricula, fostering industry partnerships, supervising research projects, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards in mining education and operations. The position will also involve mentoring students and engaging with both internal and external stakeholders to advance the university's academic and research goals in mining sciences.

Qualifications
  • Extensive knowledge in Mining Engineering, Mining Operations, and related technical expertise
  • Experience in Research, Analysis, and Strategic Planning specific to the mining industry
  • Proficiency in Leadership, Team Management, and Organizational Development skills
  • Strong communication and Presentation abilities to engage effectively with students, faculty, and industry professionals
