What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Imaging Technologist/Imaging Technologist - UICC Quad Cities Urgent Care (Weekend Option Package) position at University of Iowa Health Care Health System?
Iowa Health Care is seeking a patient centered 60% Weekend Option Senior/Imaging Technologist (24 hours) to work in our UICC Quad Cities Urgent Care Clinics. This position is responsible for perform diagnostic imaging procedures utilizing advanced imaging technology/equipment, explain examination procedures to patients and monitor their status, and instruct students and staff on examination and equipment operations and ensures all imaging protocols are being used correctly. Selective candidates eligible for a sign-on bonus of $10,000. Current UI employees are not eligible.The University of Iowa Community Clinics intends to hire for two positions at either the Imaging Technologist classification or Senior Imaging Technologist, based on the qualifications of the successful candidate. This position will mainly support our patients at Quad Cities Clinics but could float to other clinic locations based on clinical needs/hours.

Education Requirements
Experience Requirements for Senior Imaging Technologist
· Must maintain current certification in American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and/or other radiologic related technological certification.
· Iowa Permit to Practice as required by the State of Iowa for all technologists operating ionizing radiation emitting equipment.
· 2 years' experience in general radiology.
· Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work in a team-based setting.
Experience Requirements for Imaging Technologist
· Must maintain current certification in American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and/or other radiologic related technological certification.
· Iowa Permit to Practice as required by the State of Iowa for all technologists operating ionizing radiation emitting equipment.
· Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work in a team-based setting.
· Driver's License and ability to meet University of Iowa Fleet Safety Standards is desired.
Desirable Qualifications for Senior Imaging Technologist and Imaging Technologist
· Membership in appropriate professional organizations desired.
· Previous work or clinical education experience in general radiology in an acute care environment, Emergency Department/Trauma Center is desired.
· Recent work or clinical education experience in general radiography is desired.
