University of Iowa Health Care Department of Nursing is seeking a 50% - 100% Licensed Practical Nurse to work in our Digestive Health Clinic.
Duties to include:
- Provides nursing care under the supervision of a registered professional nurse.
- Participates in the development of nursing care plans and in the implementation of therapeutic program for patients.
- In less complex situations, may assume responsibility for directing and supervising assigned nursing personnel. In more complex situations, performs as an assistant to the registered professional nurse.
- Performs patient care related to vital signs, lab draws, setting up and assisting with minor procedures, in-clinic treatments, point of care testing and other duties as assigned.
- Provides psychological support to the patient and family based on assessed needs.
- Other duties as assigned.

Percent of Time: 50% - 100% (20-40 hours per week)
Salary: Merit Plan Plan
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 0730-1700 with occasional late shifts. No weekends, no holidays.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements
- Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with the Iowa Board of Nursing, or eligible for temporary work permit. Responsible to take the required continuing education hours to maintain a valid LPN certification.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification
