What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Services Coordinator - Offsite Clinics - Environmental Services position at University of Iowa Health Care Health System?
The University of Iowa Health Care department of Environmental Services is seeking a Facilities Services Coordinator to be responsible for facilities services operations and for coordinating facilities services activities to provide a physical environment that promotes institutional excellence. Provides leadership and/or supervision and resources as required.
Duties to include:
Lead and supervise a team of approximately 20–30 EVS technicians
Oversee delivery of EVS services within assigned areas of responsibility
Conduct interviews and make hiring recommendations for team members
Perform Nurse Manager rounding to ensure service quality and collaboration
Participate in Environment of Care and Compliance team rounding activities
Ensure staff adherence to established policies and procedures
Respond promptly to concerns, service requests, and complaints
Facilitate and lead formal monthly staff meetings
Conduct investigations and administer disciplinary actions when necessary
Complete performance appraisals
Provide coaching and performance management for underperforming staff
Percent of Time: 100%
Schedule: 4:00pm - 1:00am Monday - Friday
Location: Main University Campus
Pay Grade: 11

Minimum Eligibility Requirements
- Graduation from high school or GED equivalent
- Three years supervisory and facilities management experience
- Possession of appropriate driver’s license and ability to meet UI Fleet Safety Standards.
