The Student Success Coordinator (part-time, grant-funded) will work with faculty and students in engineering and math to promote student success. This includes working specifically with student cohorts in the Academic, Mentoring, and Professional Development (AMP) program and with students in their first year of college. The coordinator will be responsible for supporting the various needs of the AMP project.

Experience
REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Significant experience in a role working directly with high school students
- Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMSs)
- Experience in working with peer groups in an experiential educational setting
Essential Functions
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. - Assist with recruiting for the AMP program. This could involve helping at outreach events, school visits, or larger-scale campus visit events.
- Oversee group communications, facilitate group activities, and encourage group participation in cohort activities.
- Create and maintain an AMP Brightspace page.
- Create and administer surveys.
- Assist with planning and implementing an introduction gathering for AMP students and faculty.
- Assist with the Math Success Camp: this event is traditionally scheduled just prior to the first day of school.
- Assist with ENGR 185 (Orientation to Engineering) and similar intro/orientation courses in STEM fields.
- Track required participation of AMP students and other first-year students in events such as maintaining overall GPA requirements, attendance at required and optional events, tutoring usage (engineering and math tutoring), etc.
- Assist with events for AMP students, including career fairs, local conference travel, etc.
- Assist with publicity as co-author on appropriate papers, directing or creating social media posts, working with UIndy communications and marketing, etc.
- Follow the guidance and direction of supervisor(s).
- Demonstrate respectful, ethical, responsible behavior.
- Abide by the University’s policies, procedures, and rules.
- Perform employee responsibilities as detailed in employee handbooks and policies.
- Demonstrate regular and predictable attendance and punctuality.
- Other duties, including special projects, as required or assigned.
