Job Description
The Director of UIndy Online Enrollment Management and Student Success provides leadership for the development and implementation of a comprehensive, student-centered infrastructure that delivers wraparound support for learners from application through graduation. This inaugural role is responsible for strengthening enrollment strategy, student success systems, and cross-campus collaboration to support the growth of UIndy Online.
The Director works closely with University Marketing and Enrollment Management to strengthen recruitment strategies and build a sustainable pipeline of prospective students for UIndy Online programs. In partnership with faculty and academic leaders, the Director supports student success in both curricular and co-curricular areas, including transfer pathways, course progression, and completion.
As UIndy Online continues to expand, this position provides both strategic leadership and day-to-day support for UIndy Online students, while establishing the processes, systems, and staffing needed to support long-term growth in enrollment management and student success across UIndy Online.

Requirements/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
- Experience in enrollment management, student success, online education, or a related area
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing student-centered enrollment strategies
- Experience working collaboratively with faculty and cross-functional teams
- Ability to balance strategic leadership with operational execution in a growing environment
- Experience with online or adult learner populations
- Experience building new programs, systems, or initiatives
- Familiarity with transfer pathways and partnership development

Essential Functions
Enrollment Strategy and Pipeline Development
- Partner with Marketing and Enrollment Management to develop and implement recruitment strategies for UIndy Online programs
- Strengthen prospective student pipelines, including partnerships with community colleges, employers, and other external partners
- Monitor enrollment trends and use data to inform strategy and decision-making
- Lead the development of a coordinated student success model that supports online learners from onboarding through graduation
- Design and implement proactive retention strategies, including early alerts and targeted interventions
- Provide direct support to students from application through graduation, particularly during the initial growth phase of UIndy Online
- Partner with faculty and academic leaders to support student success in curricular and co-curricular areas
- In collaboration with Enrollment Management and the Office of Registrar, support transfer pathways, credit evaluation processes, and degree progression planning
- Lead initiatives that strengthen student engagement and success across UIndy Online programs
- Establish and refine processes, systems, and workflows to support enrollment management and student success across UIndy Online programs
- Ensure alignment across units to provide a seamless student experience
- Track key performance indicators related to enrollment, retention, and student outcomes
- Use data to inform continuous improvement and strategic planning
- Prepare reports and updates for institutional leadership
- Follow the guidance and direction of supervisor(s).
