The University of Illinois Springfield invites applications for three inaugural faculty positions (preferred start date January 1, 2027; latest start August 16, 2027) in Engineering Technology to launch the Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering Technology (BAS-ET), beginning Fall 2027. These positions will form the founding faculty cohort and will collectively deliver the core curriculum, establish the work-based learning sequence with regional employers, and prepare for ABET ETAC accreditation. We are seeking candidates whose expertise spans applied engineering technology. The final composition of the cohort will be shaped by the strength of the applicant pool, with the goal of assembling a team that collectively covers the program's instructional needs. Preferred areas of expertise include automation, robotics, and industrial controls; engineering design, CAD/CAM, and manufacturing systems; systems integration, project management, and applied engineering practice; materials, measurement, and quality systems; and work-based learning coordination and industry partnership development. Significant industry experience is strongly preferred.

A mix of tenure-track and non-tenure track hires is anticipated. View the tenure-track job posting at: https://uis.csod.com/ux/ats/careersite/1/home/requisition/1287?c=uis
