Position Summary
Recruits prospective first-year and transfer students through the development and implementation of strategic recruitment initiatives designed to achieve the University's enrollment goals. Serves as the University's primary representative within assigned recruitment territories by building relationships with prospective students, families, school counselors, community organizations, and other key constituents. Represents the University at recruitment events, presentations, and outreach activities while providing exceptional student service throughout the admissions process.
Duties & Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- A minimum of one year of experience in admissions, recruitment, student services, higher education, or a related field.
- Reliable transportation and ability to work evenings, weekends, and overnight travel as needed. Frequent local travel expected. Statewide and national travel may be required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of undergraduate admissions and enrollment management practices;
- Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) systems (e.g., Slate, Salesforce);
- Understanding of basic higher education recruitment and student development principles;
- Experience working with diverse student populations.
Strong candidates for the position will have demonstrated ability to:
- Build relationships with prospective students and educational partners;
- Communicate effectively through presentations and written correspondence;
- Organize multiple priorities while managing extensive travel schedules;
- Analyze recruitment data and use findings to improve recruitment outcomes;
- Work independently and collaboratively in a team environment;
- Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining attention to detail.
