Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform spatial data processing, analysis, and documentation.
- Provide technical support for research projects.
- Manage GIS capacity building for diverse groups of stakeholders.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., geographic information systems, geography, planning, landscape
- architecture, civil engineering, computer science, statistics, or public health).
- A minimum of 3 years of related research experience (up to one year can be counted from part-time research assistantship experience).
- Possesses and applies advanced knowledge of research principles, concepts, practices, and methods.
- Expert level knowledge of GIS software (Esri Products, QGIS)
- Master’s degree in Geospatial Information System and Technology or related field preferred.
- Experience with GIS-based programming (Python, Arcade), and application development experience in web/desktop environment (e.g., R, JavaScript, Python, CSS, and Tableau); and vector graphics editing software (Adobe Illustrator and, or Photoshop) is preferred.
- Training and/or instructional experience is preferred.
