The Medical Office Assistant is responsible for receptionist duties for all staff, patients, and visitors in the Department of Surgery. This position will provide administrative support under the direct supervision of the Director of Administrative Operations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide support on various/administrative/organizational matters.
  • Assist in special projects and essential programs, including complex scheduling for meetings/events.
  • Answers, screens, and routes telephone inquiries to appropriate party.
  • Works independently in monitoring work queues and/or outlook calendars.
  • Operates office equipment such as voice mail messaging systems, and uses word processing, spreadsheet, and other software applications to prepare reports, invoices, financial statements, letters, case histories, and medical records.
  • Coordinate administrator's schedule; invites and notifies participants.
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications Required:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
