Position Summary
This position supports the goals and responsibilities of PSPM Facility Information Management (FIM) services through maintaining accurate floor plans, archiving and retrieving construction documents and other facility records, and assisting with other projects as assigned.
Duties & Responsibilities
Must be enrolled in a graduate program in UIC's College of Engineering.
Proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator experience a plus.
Capable of incorporating feedback and direction quickly and efficiently.
Highly organized and detail-oriented.
Fluent in English (speaking and writing).
Strong interpersonal and commmunication skills.
Additional Details:
Incoming Fall 2025 or Spring 2026 Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Construction
Management graduate students are strongly preferred. This position is a great opportunity for

- Update or create new floor plans using AutoCAD, following departmental style guide.
- Assist in other tasks such as locating drawings and other documents in the digital archives for contractors and staff members, performing space audits as well as assisting other staff members and inititives on an as-needed basis.
- Assist in the creation and management of facility document metadata.
- Update departmental SharePoint archives with facility, business, and risk management records and information.
- Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
