The Center on Disabilities and Human Development (CDHD) is an independent unit within the College of Education, Health and Human Sciences. The CDHD is supported through a federal infrastructure grant with numerous projects funded through sponsored accounts. The CDHD improves the lives of people with disabilities and their families by educating an interdisciplinary workforce, providing training and technical assistance within communities, conducting research, providing direct services, and disseminating evidence-based information.
Position Overview
This position supports the planning and completion of educational, outreach or professional programs; working with program staff, students, the public and/or agencies, to plan and oversee program activities. May lead a distinct area for the program such as outreach, assessment or financial management.

Duties May Include
- Participate in the development and implementation of program deliverables, services and activities
- Coordinate a team with an array of talents and responsibilities
- Collect, compile and summarize program data for reports
- Participate in developing program operating goals, objectives and protocols
- Maintain program budgets, monitoring and reviewing transactions for compliance with program requirements
- Active participation in the development and submission of program proposals
- Lead collection and compilation of program assessment data
- May supervise the work of others or lead a team to accomplish assigned goals
- Other duties as assigned
- Two years of program coordination or program management experience
- Working in a team environment to accomplish shared goals
- Collecting, compiling, summarizing and analyzing data for administrative reports
- Bachelor's Degree; four additional years of experience in program coordination (for a total of six years) may substitute for a Bachelor's Degree
- Ability to travel and work non-standard hours as needed
Education and training:
- Bachelor's Degree in education, vocational rehabilitation, human services, or related field
- Master's degree in education, vocational rehabilitation, human services, or related field
- Experience with implementation of statewide technical assistance initiatives
- Experience coordinating programs, projects, or statewide initiatives
- Experience developing training materials and delivering professional development
- Knowledge of current educational, transition, and service-delivery practices
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Interact and communicate with others effectively
- Use correct spelling, punctuation, and grammar in composing written statements
- Manage a variety of projects simultaneously
- Portray a professional demeanor
