Description
Advise the Tilman J. Fertitta Family College of Medicine (COM) faculty in the application of complex instructional design principles and educational technology to develop courses. Provides expertise to facilitate instructional initiatives.
- Provide consultation and support for faculty and staff.
- Research, propose, and participate in decision making for the purchase of new software and technology.
- Develop and conduct training of faculty on new academic software and technology.
- Troubleshoot technical and operational issues of technology-based programs.
- Present and represent (COM) instructional designers at conferences.
- Collaborate with and assist internal and system-wide instructional designers.
- Participate and provide leadership in the instructional designer collaborative meetings for the University of Houston System groups.
- Assume management responsibilities when required.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
