Description
The Center for Student Empowerment seeks professionals dedicated to student affairs work, including individualized student support, case management, resource referral, and student-focused programming.
Develops and manages innovative services designed to assist students with medical, psychological, psychiatric, social, financial and academic needs.
- Serves as the liaison to the Counseling Center, Student Health Center and various University departments and individuals to consult and advise on student mental health-related matters.
- Performs evaluations to determine the student's needs, formulates goals and designs plans to resolve problems.
- Determines the type of intervention needed, utilizing campus and community resources. 4. Partners with the Student Health Center and Counseling Center to aid in problem resolution and makes referrals as needed; involves parents/guardians as appropriate.
- Develops and administers training workshops on crisis management.
- Maintains case records and prepares statistical reports as needed.
- Serves on committees as a representative of the unit as needed.
- Performs other job-related duties as required.
