Requires a minimum of seven (7) years of directly job-related experience. Preferred: Previous experience working in Higher Education or Non-Profit Organizations.

Reporting directly to Asst VP, Budget and Analysis, The Dir, Business Process Optimization provides integration leadership and identifies inter-relationships and dependencies within and across university processes. Oversee the in-depth analysis of existing workflows, engineers, organizes, and prioritize changes to business operations. Work with the business to develop and implement high-level and detailed key performance indicators.
- Designs & executes Business Process Optimization (BPO) methodologies to analyze and identify opportunities to improve processes, practices, and procedures, and maximize efficiencies and utilization.
- Engages and organizes subject matter experts and cross-functional groups to collect inputs on existing business operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional team members to understand processes, root causes, and outcomes to provide analysis and preparation of recommendations that will drive greater productivity, reduce waste, and/or eliminate duplication.
- Establishes processes and tools used to collect and measure relevant data, identify key performance indicators (KPI), and other metrics for evaluating the efficiency of process improvements and produce a data-driven analysis of critical functions.
- Partners with business leaders to drive enhanced customer outcomes and financial performance through improvements to current-state business operations and long-term redesign of business value deliverables.
- Promotes broad, cross-functional understanding of existing business capabilities, to help the organization leverage current capabilities.
- Identifies, recommends, and lead implementations of new processes, technologies, and systems or modifications to improve and streamline organizational processes.
- Introduces new business processes to the organization and produces documentation, tools, and training to support adoption.
- Supports process assessment by extracting and transforming information obtainable from enterprise databases and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platforms and environments.
- Assesses process performance in complex technical environments, involving linkages between financial, staffing, and other support processes, operational processes, and outcomes.
- Develops realistic and practical implementation plans, supported by change management plans that help guide organizations through the difficulties of proposed transformations toward the newly reengineered business processes.
- Serves as process improvement consultant throughout implementation projects to progress enactment of envisioned innovations/improvements.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requires a minimum of seven (7) years of directly job-related experience. Preferred: Previous experience working in Higher Education or Non-Profit Organizations.
