Department: College of Public Service Salary: $12.00- $14.00 per hour
Description:
Federal Work-Study positions are open for various departments, including the Dean's Office, Urban Education, Criminal Justice, and Social Work.
Duties:
- Performs front reception duties
- Files and copies of documents
- Creates and types of basic Word documents
- Performs data entry
- Research conference rooms and assist with computer equipment set-up (if needed)
- Runs campus errands (special duties)
- Searches financial information and creates PDF files
- Processes vouchers for payments (will be trained on PeopleSoft Financial System)
- Creates basic Excel spreadsheets
- Assists administrative personnel in capturing department expenses
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Students must be dependable
- Students must have good computer skills
- Students must have excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
- Experience working in an administrative office setting
- Experience working with Windows Office Suite Programs
Qualifications:
- Must be a current student at UHD and have a minimum GPA of 2.0
- Must have been awarded Federal Work-Study from the Office of Scholarships & Financial Aid
