Lecturer (Asian Languages), Fall 2026 & Spring 2027

Description

Salary Information: Minimum for Academic Year 2026-2027, $2,053 per credit hour, commensurate with education and experience.

 Other Conditions:

• For lecturer applicant pool, part-time, pending availability of funds and actual staffing requirements.  
• Must be available to teach courses online and in person, either during the day, evening, or weekend.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Teach assigned courses in Asian Languages.
2. Maintain a minimum of one office hour per week for each course taught.
3. Prepare course syllabi and reports related to teaching and student progress.
4. Work under supervision of division chair in integrating teaching efforts with other instructors in discipline area.
5. As needed, work with multimedia presentation, distance education instruction, and teaching at off-campus sites.
6. High proficiency in English

Minimum Qualifications

1. Master's degree in relevant discipline or master's degree in a field native level fluency for lecturers in Asian Languages.
2. Demonstrated teaching effectiveness.

Desirable Qualifications

1. College teaching experience.
2. Experience teaching Asian business etiquette and language
3. Experience with classroom technology and other teaching tools
4. Familiarity with, and ability to adapt to effective language teaching methodologies and techniques
