Duties And Responsibilities
- Teaches dance classes (e.g., hula, hip hop, jazz, contemporary, ballroom, cultural dance forms, beginner technique classes, choreography-based classes) for all levels, emphasizing proper technique, safety, and personal expression.
- Designs and delivers well-structured classes that enhance participants rhythm, coordination, strength, flexibility, and performance quality.
- Ensures the safety and welfare of all participants by demonstrating safe movement practices and providing appropriate modifications.
- Maintains attendance records and reports any incidents or concerns to the Operations Coordinator.
- Sets up, inspects, and properly stores sound equipment, props, or studio materials before and after each class session.
- Assists in promoting dance, fitness, and wellness programs through outreach and marketing efforts.
- Responds appropriately to emergencies and follows established safety and facility procedures.
- Attends staff meetings and required training sessions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
