Postdoc Associate - sensory systems in zebrafish and cavefish
Job Description:A position is open for a postdoc at the Liao Lab ( http://liaolab.com ) to look at sensory systems in zebrafish and cavefish. This NIH and NSF-funded position offers a unique opportunity to explore the neural and evolutionary mechanisms of flow sensing using electrophysiology and whole-brain imaging techniques. Work will take place at The Whitney Laboratory for Marine Bioscience ( http://www.whitney.ufl.edu ), a research institute at the University of Florida (http://www.biology.ufl.edu/). The Whitney Lab is located in St. Augustine, and has strengths in biomechanics, genomics, neuroscience, bioinformatics, and sensory physiology.
Expected Salary:Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Minimum Requirements:Ph.D. in neuroscience, physics, computer science, engineering or a related field.
