Responsibilities
In this role the Medical Technologist will perform the following job duties:
- Perform simple and complex analysis on tissue, blood and body fluids using laboratory instrumentation, manual methods and procedures.
- Approve the performance of tests by technicians.
- Assume accountability for patient tests by providing a high standard of quality using independent judgment in the performance of standard operating procedures and complex instrumentation in varying sample environments.

FTE: 1.0
Shift Hours: 3:00pm-11:30pm
Days of Week: Monday-Friday
Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Clinical/Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, Biology, or a closely related field or the equivalent.
- Must also meet state licensure requirements as stated in FL Statue 64B3-5.003 Technologist and have one (1) year experience in NAACLS approved program OR one (1) year working as a Technologist in a hospital laboratory.
- Current employees who were hired or transferred into the position prior to October 1, 2024, who meet state licensure requirements as stated in FL Statute 64B3-5.003 Technologist are grandfathered in.
Motor Vehicle Operator Designation (Required): Employees in this position: Will not operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Must possess either a temporary or current license as a State of Florida Clinical Laboratory Technologist in the specialty(s) required for the job.
