Position Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive nursing care utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Under the direction of the Director and Charge Nurse, the RN delivers safe, patient-centered care while collaborating with the healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
- Utilize clinical judgment to identify nursing diagnoses and implement appropriate interventions.
- Monitor, evaluate, and document patient responses to treatment and nursing care.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge needs.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and professional nursing standards.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Licensure & Certifications
- Current Florida Registered Nurse (RN) License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS).
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of one (1) year of Critical Care nursing experience.
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
