Overview
This is a pharmacy technician position in a fast paced, high volume Ambulatory/Retail Pharmacy. Our pharmacy provides 340B medications for eligible ambulatory patients at UF Health Jacksonville, medications to discharged patients via the Meds to Beds program, and specialty medications for qualified patients. The Pharmacy Technician II will have broader responsibilities in the ambulatory pharmacy and other specialty areas. They will have responsibility for maintaining medication systems through preparation, compounding, packaging and delivery of medications. Pharmacy technician II will fulfill all responsibilities of Pharmacy Technician I.Qualifications
Required Education: High School Diploma or GED Preferred Education: High School Graduate with at least (1) year pharmacy technician experience Required Licensure/Certifications: Registered Pharmacy Intern in Florida or Registered Pharmacy Technician in Florida Preferred Licensure/Certifications: N/A Required Experience: 6 months technician experience in relevant practice area - see required education and required licensure/certification sections for details Preferred Experience: One or more years of pharmacy technician experience Necessary Skills: 1. Excellent math skills 2. Excellent customer service and compassion for our patients 3. Good organization and communication skills 4. Ability to perform detailed tasks with accuracy and efficiency 5.
