Overview
The Registered Echo and Vascular Technologist will be responsible for assisting medical staff in clinical tests to diagnose or assess the status of cardiac and vascular disease in a clinical setting.
Responsibilities
Essential Responsibilities
- Performs echo and vascular diagnostic studies according to established clinic protocols, using training and knowledge to apply appropriate tests to arrive at meaningful results.
- Use of ultrasound instruments and non-invasive arterial pressure measurement techniques
- Reports tests to Manager or Interpreting Physician in a timely manner. Maintains written and computer-based patient records with accuracy. T
- ravel may be required to cover other clinical locations. Perform all other duties as assigned by management within job scope
Studies Include:
Vascular
Renal artery ultrasound
Mesenteric artery ultrasound
Aorta plus Iliac arteries ultrasound
Iliac vein ultrasound
Upper and lower venous ultrasound
Upper and lower arterial ultrasound w/ABI
Venous insufficiency ultrasound
Cardiac:
Echo
Echo w/Bubble
Echo w/Strain
Qualifications
Education:
- HS diploma or GED
Min Experience: 1 year Adult Echo and Vascular Sonography
Preferences :
- Experience with PACS and EMR
- Ability to work independently in a team environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills Additional Information:
Licensing Requirements Certificates/Licenses/Registration
- Adult Cardiac (RCIS) and Vascular Registry (RVS) - ARDMS or CCI.
- BLS Certification
