Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

The UF Health Proton Therapy Institute (UFHPTI) in Jacksonville, Florida, is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker to support patients and families throughout cancer treatment.

In this patient- and family-focused role, you’ll help individuals and families address psychosocial needs, navigate the health care system, and connect with appropriate community and support services. You’ll serve as the psychosocial lead on the treatment team, collaborating with interdisciplinary colleagues and helping patients and families make the most of available resources.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide psychosocial support to patients and families throughout treatment.
• Help patients and families identify needs and access appropriate health care and community services.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the treatment team.
• Facilitate support groups and engage with individuals, families, and groups.
• Identify, develop, and share community resources for patients.
• Work with community partners to strengthen support for patients and families.

Qualifications

• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW); oncology experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills.
• Ability to facilitate small and large support groups.
• Sound clinical judgment, critical-thinking skills, and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of social work practice and medical terminology.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience creating informational materials.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
• Familiarity with local community resources and social services is an asset.
