We are currently accepting applications for a Associate Autonomy Engineer (3 openings) in our Applied Sensing division, based in the vibrant city of Dayton, Ohio! UDRI is embarking on a new project involving developing a nonlinear feedback control law for fighter-type aircraft.
The goal of this particular autonomy researcher position is to explore the potential of a novel approach intended to generate desired complex UAV maneuvers.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant technical field
- Familiarity with Matlab
- Work involving controls engineering concepts
- Due to the requirements of our research contracts with the U.S. federal government, candidates for this position must be a U.S. citizen
While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:
- MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
- Demonstrated ability to apply technical concepts discussed in academic papers or journals
- Demonstrated experience performing high level research supporting DoD customers, including but not limited to AFRL
- Research involving flight dynamics or multi-UAV control
- Demonstrated, effective interpersonal skills
- Active US SECRET (or higher) clearance
