The Specialist provides HR coordination to a team of 12 individuals working in the areas of classification and talent acquisition University Staff and Classified (State) staff; ensures compliance with State personnel laws, rules, regulations, procedures, and guidelines; and communicates internally and externally, about human resource practices and specific actions. The individual in this role should be a self-starter who works well in a group setting and individually. We seek an individual who thrives in a team environment, is willing to learn, and prioritizes customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Hybrid – this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 2 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.

- Assists in managing the Indeed and LinkedIn recruitment tools and manages the Glassdoor account
- Maintains and edits the department website

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- A combination of education and related technical/military/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Six months or more of human resources experience supporting talent acquisition, classification or position management functions.
- Experience managing social media communications – Glassdoor, LinkedIn, etc.
- Experience managing and editing website content
- Experience posting jobs in an applicant tracking system
- Customer service experience
- Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally
- Knowledge of the military SkillBridge Program
- Demonstrates initiative in identifying tasks and opportunities, follows through without close supervision, and delivers accurate, high‑quality work with strong attention to detail.
- Effectively balances working autonomously with contributing to a team environment; builds positive working relationships and adapts communication style to support collaboration across diverse groups.
