Job Summary:
This position will support clinical and translational research projects focused on improving cancer care for older adults at the University of Colorado Cancer Center. This position will work closely with investigators to manage studies examining geriatric assessment, social determinants of health, treatment outcomes, and disparities in oncology. The role requires experience interacting with older adults and the ability to conduct patient-centered research activities including assessments, surveys, and interviews. This position will help ensure regulatory compliance, facilitate patient recruitment and retention, and support the overall execution of research projects in geriatric oncology.

- Screen, recruit, and consent participants in oncology clinics, with particular attention to working effectively with older adult populations.
- Conduct study procedures including surveys, geriatric assessments, and qualitative interviews with patients and caregivers.
- Maintain regulatory documents and ensure compliance with IRB, institutional, and sponsor requirements.
- Manage study data collection and entry using REDCap and other research databases, ensuring data quality and completeness.
- Coordinate communication between investigators, clinical teams, and research participants to support study implementation.
- Assist with study reporting, manuscript preparation, and dissemination of research findings.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in any field
- A combination of education and related technical/military/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in science or health related field
- Clinical research or related experience
- Experience with electronic data capture systems (e.g. EMR or EHR and data management systems)
- Knowledge and understanding of federal regulations and Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
- Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Knowledge of basic human anatomy, physiology medical terminology
- Ability to interpret and master complex research protocol information
