The College of Public Service at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) will establish and maintain a pool of Lecturers in Criminal Justice from which future appointments to temporary, non-tenure track positions will be made. Appointments are part-time (less than 50% time) and will be made semester-by-semester.
This position will teach undergraduate courses in Criminal Justice. For example, courses would include core courses and/or option area courses for the Criminal Justice major. Classes may be on-campus, online, or hybrid. While all qualified applicants are encouraged to apply, the department has a current need for lecturers with the following areas of expertise:

Salary Range: 1st & 2nd course = $3,250/course; 3rd & 4th course = $3,450/course; 5th course and beyond = $3,750/course. This position is Exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) overtime provisions.

Work Location: Remote, On-site or Hybrid, depending on class format and department needs

- A master's degree or higher in criminal justice, Criminology, or a related discipline from an accredited institution is required.
- Substitution: Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school
- Previous teaching experience, which may include teaching at post-secondary levels and/or leading professional training, is preferred.
- Ability to each in multiple formats (on-campus, online, hybrid) is preferred.
- At least 5 years of applied work experience in the criminal justice system is preferred.
