Summary

Job Summary

The LASP Flight Software temporary researcher will join LASP’s Flight Software (FSW) team to support engineers in the development and test of embedded software. This individual will be instrumental in writing and testing software to satisfy requirements. They will be working hands on with prototype boards running embedded software, associated test equipment, and simulations.

Responsibilities

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

  • Writing clean and efficient code
  • Testing code thoroughly in simulation and/or hardware
  • Debugging and troubleshooting issues
  • Collaborating with other developers
  • Adhering to coding standards and FSW processes
  • Other duties assigned

What You Should Know

  • This position is expected to work onsite during core business hours (9-3) 5 days a week.

What We Can Offer

Hourly Rate: $38-$40.

Benefits

Temporary positions at the University of Colorado are not benefits-eligible, however, all positions are eligible for paid sick leave .

What We Require

  • Four year degree in a engineering related field - Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering
  • 1 year experience with the LASP Common Code framework.
  • 1 year familiarity with MANTIS project and associated tools/hardware

  • Experience with C/C and Python
  • Knowledge of software design, development, and test
  • Ability to debug code
  • Good written and communication skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to work responsibly and reliably with minimal supervision
