Examples of Duties
Duties Include:
- Organize and stock merchandise and or course materials.
- May be required to create in-store merchandise displays.
- Assist in product inventory cycle counts.
- Cashier using multiple forms of payment.
- Process web orders for course materials & merchandise with accuracy and efficiency.
- Bending, stooping, and lifting cartons of course materials and merchandise up to 40 lbs.
- Willingness to be cross trained in other bookstore operations.
- Work shifts will vary between 8am and 7pm.
- Some evenings and weekends will be required, particularly for special events such as semester opening and closing, football games, etc.
- Attention to detail, honesty, reliability.
- Communication skills including oral, written and/or nonverbal.
- Other duties as required.
Typical Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Cashier experience.
- Stockroom management.
- Customer service in a retail environment.
- Data entry.
- Physical abilities: mobility/strength/dexterity/balance/coordination/endurance.
- Human relations/interpersonal skills.
- Computer skills in word processing and spreadsheets.
Supplemental Information
Working Hours:
- Candidate will work 15-20 hours per week, some of which may be irregular or outside the traditional workday.
