Description
This position provides support to the Coordinator of The Honors College by assisting with events and monitoring the Achauer House to support extended weekday hours. This role includes welcoming students, helping facilitate events, and performing nightly closing procedures to maintain a safe and organized environment.
Examples of Duties
Duties Include:
- Customer Service: Greet students and visitors, answer phones, and answer general questions to keep the house welcoming.
- Event Assistance: Help set up, run, and clean up after events and activities.
- Daily Maintenance & Closing: Perform nightly closing routines to keep the space clean, organized, and secure.
- Office Support: Monitor shared tasks, print and prepare project materials, and assist with basic administrative needs.
Typical Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be an Honors College student.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Comfortable communicating via email and in person.
- Dependable, organized, and proactive with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Motivated, positive attitude, and strong interpersonal skills.
Supplemental Information
Working Hours and Days:

Monday through Friday 5-7 with occasional weekdays and weekends.
- Work hours are flexible and primarily take place in the evening.
- This is a part-time, on-campus position intended for student employment.
- No more than 20 hours a week.
