Job DescriptionThe Senior Surgical Technologist plays a vital role in the surgical team, ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures. The successful candidate will have recent scrubbing clinical experience and proficiency in multiple surgical specialties. They will be responsible for setting up instruments, passing instruments during surgery, and maintaining a sterile environment. This position requires flexibility to work across various UCSF Medical Center locations, including the Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland and Walnut Creek.
Qualifications Required Qualifications: - Two years recent scrubbing clinical experience in an acute care operating room - Recent cardiac experience (within last two years) - Active American Heart Association (AHA) CPR Certification for healthcare providers - High School Diploma; or equivalent experience - Graduate of a surgical technologist training program; or equivalent experience - The flexibility to work and orient at all UCSF Health locations Preferred Requirements: - Certification as a Surgical Technologist. - Pediatric experience desired License/Certifications: - Active American Heart Association (AHA) CPR Certification for healthcare providers License / Certification Basic Life SupportAdditional Details
