The Executive Administrative Assistant (EAA) has signficant experience in the field and is able to perform at a high level across multiple functions with little assistance in an excpetionally collaborative team atmosphere in a complex and rapidly growing Center within the MAC. EAA uses experience, exceptional judgement and professionalism, often requiring minimal supervision, to oversee a variety of operational functions in support of the director of the UCSF Dyslexia Center and ALBA lab within the division of the Memory and Aging Center. EAA serves as primary contact for the Alba lab and other Programs under Applied Neurosciences. The EAA will facilitate communication and manage multitple projects, including oversight and coordination of complex logistics, documentation, federal compliance to support Alba lab, Dyslexia Center and minimally other Applied Neurosciences. Analyzes and resolves operational problems of complex scope across all Centers//Labs and a critical and proactive team member supporting budgets, federal and state grant reporting, compliance and creation and maintaining BioSketch and other NIH grant related requirements.

The position requires balancing multiple, often simultaneous activities and the ability to prioritize work to ensure that tasks are completed on time with exceptional professionalism and in the team spirit that the Dyslexia Center and Alba lab embodies. The position also requires a high level of professionalism, independence, strong interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to support and work very collaboratively in a dynamic environment, and a high degree of personal ownership to ensure quality work products are delivered and performed. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, professional, and highly organized individual.

Note: This position involves a 100% in-office commitment

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.

The salary range for this position is $29.05 - $53.50 (Hourly Rate).

  • Bachelors degree and 2 years experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2 or more years working in HR; demonstrated recruitment experience, including scheduling and conducting interviews, onboarding new employees.
  • Demonstrated experience generating content for internal communications, announcements
  • The highest attention to detail and follow-through with assignments as demonstrated by experience and references.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with Outlook, Zoom, and all MS suite software; proficiency with Mac OS.
  • Ability to work on campus (Mission Bay) in conformance with UCSF health and safety requirements.
