Job Description The goal of all EVS Aides is to provide a clean, comfortable and sanitary environment for patients, visitors and hospital staff, by following the EVS Seven-Step Cleaning methods. EVS Aides are expected to provide fast, efficient and high quality service to all patients, visitors, co-workers and other hospital staff. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $25.62 - $34.53 (Hourly Rate). Qualifications Required - High School Diploma or the equivalent. - Ability to clean and maintain assigned areas in conformance with established procedures and standards - Good working knowledge of appropriate cleaning methods, material and proper use and care of floor machines e.g. buffers, electric or battery operated automatic scrubbers, vacuum cleaners, shampooed/scrubbing machines, regular floor stripper/scrubber, floor drier, and electric or gasoline air floor sweepers - Ability to apply appropriates cleaning methods and techniques in special areas following given guidelines General knowledge of equipment needed in emergencies such as floods, disaster or fires - Ability to maintain harmonious working relationship with associates, supervisor and hospital staff members The flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Health locations Preferred - Previous experience About UCSF The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) is a leading university dedicated to promoting health worldwide through advanced biomedical research, graduate-level education in the life sciences and health professions, and excellence in patient care.
