What are the responsibilities and job description for the Farm Machinery Mechanic position at University of California?
Under general supervision, the Farm Machinery Mechanic maintains and repairs trucks (light to heavy duty), tractors, agricultural farm equipment, turf machinery, and farm implements for both Riverside and Coachella research stations. Duties include field service trucks lubrication, refueling, major and minor repairs, welding, metal fabrication, tire service, inspections, and safe operation of shop tools and equipment. Performs related duties as assigned to support Agricultural Operations.
The full salary range for the Farm Machine Mechanic is $30.42 - $40.96 per hour. However, the expected pay rate for this position is $30.42 per hour. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.
