What are the responsibilities and job description for the Resident Director position at University of California - Riverside?
The Resident Director (RD) is a full-time, 12-month, live-in position and serves as a member of the Residential Education Professional staff team. The RD is responsible for resident orientation to community living; resident counseling; policy enforcement and adjudication; day and night on-site crisis response; curricular approach to student engagement; student staff recruitment, selection, training and evaluation; housing management and special projects. The RD provides a variety of support services to the residential students and assists with the management of the housing program. The residential facilities include residence halls, apartments and family housing.
This is a four (4) year contract appointment with the possibility to be extended for one (1) additional year for a maximum total of five (5) years.
The full salary range for the Resident Director is $57,700.00 - $99,300.00 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $58,700 annually in addition to housing and meal plan compensation. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.
